January 30 delivered one of the most explosive scoring nights of the season, highlighted by a forty-point performance and a historic shooting display.

Caleb Bingham of Burton Bendle led all scorers with a massive 41-point outing. Crossing the forty mark at the high school level reflects elite shot creation, stamina, and a scorer’s mentality that refuses to cool off. Burton Bendle also received 28 points from Landon Mattis, giving them a powerful offensive one-two punch that can overwhelm defenses.

Beau Kennard of Birmingham Groves added 33 points and set a school record with 10 made three-point shots. That type of perimeter shooting changes defensive schemes immediately and forces opponents to extend coverage far beyond the arc. When a player hits double-digit threes in a single game, it is not just hot shooting. It is a preparation meeting opportunity.

Jovaan Daniels of Hudsonville scored 29, while Dontrell Milton of Berkley added 28. Berkley also saw Drew Sermo contribute 22, showing strong balance within their rotation. Multiple players eclipsing twenty points on the same roster speaks to spacing and trust in offensive flow.

Tony Holliday Jr of Redford Thurston poured in 24, continuing his consistent scoring presence. Jordan Fuller of Romulus Summit and Julius Wilson of Macomb L'Anse Creuse North each scored 22, while Zahir Haqq of Lincoln Park added 21.

Three more players reached the twenty-point mark to round out the night. Cole Charter of Clarkston, Cyrus Goins of Wayne Memorial, and Cam Harju of Port Huron Northern each finished with 20, underscoring the statewide depth of offensive production.

What stands out most from this slate is volume and efficiency across multiple regions. From Metro Detroit to West Michigan and the Blue Water area, elite scoring is not isolated. It is widespread. When multiple teams feature two players capable of scoring twenty or more, postseason matchups become increasingly difficult to predict.

Michigan basketball continues to elevate offensively. January 30 was not just about numbers. It was about statement performances that will carry momentum into the next stretch of competition.
